Loan Officer Training - Dont Apologize - Yes We Make Money Being Loan Officers

Hundreds of loan officers get into the mortgage business every year. Their goal is the same as yours, to make money. Don't EVER tell me you're in the mortgage business because you want to "help people" because the only way I'll believe it is if you do all your deals for free.

Oh sure, you're assisting folks in getting money to buy a home or refinancing, that I'll give you. So, in that sense of the word, yes you are helping people. But I'm talking about why you got in this business to begin with.

Let's face it, making money is what motivates us to be successful, and there are too many people in this industry trying to deny that they're in the business to make money.

They feel it's not right to verbalize it or something, which I don't understand. The few that don't deny it are usually the ones that seem to be successful, and they don't apologize for it. They don't have any ill feelings for charging someone to do work for them.

Once you get your thoughts in order, you can feel good about telling someone you're a Loan Officer because you want to make money, not because you want to "help people". If you can say you've worked hard at your profession, then you're in good company.

J. Paul Getty acknowledged his hard work: "I have no complex about wealth. I have worked hard for my money, producing things people need." Start saying what you really want from being a loan officer and you'll be surprised what will happen.
